Santiago Mele was born in Buenos Aires in 1980
He started his career as photographer in 2000 attending workshops in photojournalism, essays and edition.
In 2003 started several journeys recording the cultural diversities of Latin America, the subject where he focus his work. At the same time, developed cultural interchange workshops in native communities in Jujuy, Northern Argentina.
In 2006 he settles in Dominican Republic, creating the essays “Mambo Violento” and “El masacre se pasa a pie” in haitian border.
During 2009 he travelled in Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia creating several photo-reportages and professional works.
In 2010 he came back to Buenos Aires. Currently he is working as graphic reporter freelance collaborating in several media and doing independent documentary essays.
